Open a folder with an SConstruct and CLion gets full code insight. SCons Support runs your project's own SCons to
write compile_commands.json (SCons 4's compilation_db tool, loaded from outside your build files, so nothing in
your repository changes) and loads it as a compilation database project.
Godot and GDExtension. Built and tested on the real Godot engine and godot-cpp-template: the generated database
matches the one from scons compiledb=yes command for command. Keep one profile per variant, such as
platform=linux target=editor and platform=linux target=template_release, and switch between them from the
toolbar. The Godot launcher builds your extension and opens the editor on your project, under the debugger if you
like.
Always in sync. Add a source file, edit an SConscript or Godot's SCsub and the database is regenerated in the
background and reloaded in place, without reopening the project.
Targets, build, run, debug. The SCons tool window lists default targets, aliases, programs and libraries from SCons' own dependency tree. Build, clean or rebuild any of them; compiler errors from gcc, clang and MSVC are links. Run or debug a program with the debugger of your CLion toolchain.
Price, stated up front. Free forever: open as project, compile_commands.json on open and on demand, build,
clean and rebuild the whole project, SConstruct as Python. Paid plan: USD 49/year individual, USD 99/year
commercial, with JetBrains' free trial.
